In this landmarked former bank building in the city center of Amsterdam, we proposed a radical reconfiguration of the penthouse. The brief required adding a guest room to an already constrained attic floor. By stacking the various programmatic elements, we not only managed to expand the space but also opened it up, making its history more experiential by exposing the roof structure.
